Why Oil skin is good for skincare ?
Although oily skin is essential for good skincare as the oils, called sebum, produced by the Sebaceous glands (or see some other products as best essential oil diffuser) are meant to assist in keeping your skin and hair lubricated and healthy, too much of this oil can leave your skin too oily creating an adverse effect on your body image and a negative self-esteem. Skin that is too oily is due to genetics, an excess of the dihydrotestosterone (DHT) hormone. Of course, skin which is too oily can also assist in the creation of acne.
There are several so called remedies for oily skin but before we get to that, let’s clear up a few misconceptions. The first misconception is that treatment of oily skin will lead to an increase of sebum production. This is false as some products for oily skin can help reduce sebum production. Second, products that remove oil by blotting it, help to reduce sebum production. This is false as, as their name suggests, these products merely blot away excess oil and have no effect on its production.
This means that if we suffer from oily skin, we are best using a product that both blots the oil and reduces the production of sebum. One set of products that do exactly that are Eau ThermaleAvène Cleansing Foam and Mattifying Fluid.

When these two products are used together, they soak up oils that have not yet reached the surface of the skin and they help in short-circuiting the production of oil in the Sebaceous glands, meaning that over time the glands stop being so hyper-active and reduce oil production to normal levels.
The cleanser is light and is foamy, white in colour and both products have a light a pleasant, faint, floral scent. Studies have shown that when these two products are used together, one after the other, oil production is reduced by a noticeable 15% within 3 hours of use. Plus of course it soaks up any oil on the skin’s surface. The studies also showed that a high 93% of users noticed significant improvements to their oily skin problems.
Most oily skin products today, only work like blotting paper in so far as all they do is remove the excess oil from the skin’s surface and whilst this may afford some instant relief, does nothing to alleviate the long term problem. Although Accutane is known to help eliminate the cause of acne, that does not mean that it eliminates the production of sebum and so may be effective as a cure for acne but not as a cure for oily skin, not if used on its own at least. Many people falsely believe that they cannot use make up products whilst treating oily skin. Make ups which are labelled "non-comedogenic" or oil free are appropriate for use with most oily skin or acne products and so may be used on top of them.
